First, let me give you a quick rundown of the Iyemon Rich Matcha Latte!

이에몽_사진1

Iyemon Rich Matcha Latte

  • Where I Bought It: Mega Don Quijote, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan
  • Price: ¥499 (tax-free, 120g per pack)
  • Powder Color: Light green (kind of a grassy green or yellow-green)
  • Taste: Smooth and sweet. The matcha flavor is moderate—not too strong (but it gets richer if you add more powder!)
  • Special Feature: The powder already contains milk and sugar, so you can just mix it with water and—boom!—you’ve got a matcha latte. Of course, you can mix it with milk too!

The product name is “Rich Matcha Latte.” Honestly, I don’t speak Japanese well, so I had to ask ChatGPT for help 😂 (Thank you, GPT… you’re a lifesaver.)

This matcha latte is actually something Chubby mom picked out! I was originally just looking for plain matcha powder, but… even though the packaging clearly said "latte," the picture totally looked like plain matcha! So I thought, “Is this 100% matcha powder that you mix with milk?” and bought it anyway 😭

But once I got home and asked GPT… turns out the powder already includes milk and sugar. (Oops… silly me 😅)

As always, all the important info is written on the back of the package. It says you can mix it with milk, but also just with water. There are clear instructions for making it hot or iced, plus ingredient info, calories, and the expiration date.

Calories are 59 kcal per 15g serving, and the shelf life is just right—not too short or too long. The ingredient list confirms that it contains both sugar and milk.

As expected, the top of the package has a clearly marked tear line, and it opens super smoothly—so satisfying! Even after opening it completely, no worries—the package is designed so you can reseal it easily and store it without any problem.

이에몽_사진6

이에몽_사진7

Tadaaa~! The bag tore open so easily and cleanly in one go! Love it when that happens.

Inside the bag, it’s designed so you can reseal it and keep it fresh for later—super convenient.

And as you can see in the photo below, the matcha latte powder is a soft grassy green, a light and gentle shade of green!

이에몽_사진8

이에몽_사진9

이에몽_사진10

I even poured some into a dish to show the powder more clearly... dedication! 😤✨

The powder is actually much finer and softer than it looks in the photo. For some reason, the granules look a bit bigger in the picture 😭—but in real life, it's super fine and silky!

The light grassy green color has this oddly pretty vibe to it… or maybe I’m just seeing beauty in everything these days (lol, matcha magic eyes 👀🍵).

이에몽_사진11

이에몽_사진12

이에몽_사진13

Now, it’s time to taste it! I put the powder straight into a cup and poured hot water over it.

Stirred it well with a spoon… and just like that, the powder dissolved completely in no time! It mixed perfectly with the water—seriously, it dissolves so well.

이에몽_사진14

이에몽_사진15

이에몽_사진16

Even after stirring, there wasn’t a single grain or clump left on the spoon—it dissolved completely! (Impressive, impressive.) The color when mixed with water is still that lovely soft grassy green.

And voilà—your hot matcha latte is ready! The taste is super smooth, sweet, and the matcha flavor really comes through. I loved it.

I think this would be perfect for warming up and comforting you after a cold, exhausting winter day 😭😭😭 Honestly, this drink could give hot chocolate a serious run for its money!!!

이에몽_사진17

이에몽_사진18

Then I wondered, “What about an iced matcha latte?” So, I gave making an iced latte a try… drumroll please!

I dissolved more powder in water, stirred it well with a spoon (of course, it dissolved perfectly again!), and then added ice cubes!!!

The taste was just like the warm matcha latte but cold and refreshing 🧊😍 I really loved it.

A chilled matcha latte like this is perfect for a scorching summer day like today!! (Yasss~~) It was seriously delicious!!

이에몽_사진19

이에몽_사진20

이에몽_사진21

To make it look even tastier and cooler, I poured the iced matcha latte into a glass cup… and tadaaa!!! Check out the photo below!!!

As expected, summer iced drinks just have to be served in glass cups—it makes them look way more refreshing and absolutely delicious!!! Ahh, just look at that beautiful matcha latte color…

Then, I asked Chubby mom to give it a taste, all pretty in the glass cup. Her reaction? “Oh wow, I’d totally drink this! It’s not too sweet at all and really tasty!”

Even my adorable Chubby mom loves the Iyemon Rich Matcha Latte!!

이에몽_사진22

이에몽_사진23

이에몽_사진24

After finishing it all, one last shot! I drank it so refreshingly and really enjoyed every sip 😭 I feel like I’m going to be drinking this all the time!!

I only bought two packs because I didn’t know much about it when I was in Japan, so now I’m worried… if I finish it all this summer, I won’t have any for winter 😭 (sob sob)

Next time I travel, I’m definitely planning to buy both 100% pure matcha powder and this matcha latte powder again!

이에몽_사진25

이에몽_사진26

If you’re traveling to Japan or planning a trip, and you’re a fan of matcha, I definitely recommend giving this a try!!

You’ll enjoy it just as much in summer as in winter!

이에몽_사진27

And that wraps up today’s post!

I hope this was helpful for anyone planning a trip to Japan or interested in Japanese products.

Alright then, signing off—see you next time!!
