Today, I’m finally posting about the best and most popular jelly I bought from the Mega Don Quijote in Sapporo, Hokkaido, during my trip in early June (I can’t believe it’s already been 20 days… 😭).

Yes, it’s my all-time favorite konjac jelly — and the best part? It’s only 0 calories! 🙌

Cue the dramatic music... it’s time to unbox and dive in! (As always, I’m starting this off way too dramatically 😂)

Before we dive in… I’m still shocked that it’s already been 20 days since I got back from Japan 😱
And now I’m hit with another shock… I’m almost out of konjac jelly 😭😭 (so sad… seriously).

Anyway! Let me introduce the konjac jelly that both Chubby Mom and I absolutely LOVE!!

The ORIHIRO konjac jelly I’m sharing today is honestly so famous that I feel a bit shy even writing about it 😅
But for anyone who’s still curious, I’ve put together this post just for you!
Out of all the flavors, Chubby Mom and I picked up the 0-calorie versions in grape, green grape (maybe Shine Muscat?), and mango — and we loved every one of them!

  • Weight : 432g = 18g × 24 packs
  • Calories : 0 kcal
  • Type : Tube-style jelly
  • Features :
    • Comes in a variety of flavors
    • Super easy to open by hand
    • Just squeeze and suck straight from the tube
    • Guilt-free with zero calories!

Tada! When you walk into the Sapporo Mega Don Quijote, the basement floor is packed with snacks, jelly, ramen, green tea, chocolate, and all kinds of food items. Among them, the konjac jelly took up an entire section along the far-right wall—it was completely stocked, and you could instantly tell how insanely popular it is!

Chubby Mom and I have been buying these on every Japan trip for years, so the moment we stepped into Don Quijote, konjac jelly was the first thing that popped into our heads—and of course, it went straight into the cart!
Especially the trusty 0 kcal version, because… no worries about gaining weight, right? 😆💜

On the back of the package, you’ll find all the important info clearly labeled—serving size, calorie content, how to eat it (with super helpful illustrations!), and the expiration date. Just like in the picture, it’s really easy to open by hand, exactly as shown. It’s so convenient to eat—seriously, major points for this! 👏👏

Once you open the bag, you’ll see 24 individual tube packs, each one 18g—just like in the photo below.
The flavors we got were grape, mango, and green grape. (The illustration kind of looks like Shine Muscat… but since I can’t read Japanese, let’s just go with it 😂)

I couldn’t resist lining them up in a row… (gotta love my little “bossy” side 😄) They’re just too cute!
While I was at it, I even got some close-up shots of each little tube.

Chubby Mom and I especially loved the big, bold “0 kcal” printed right on each tube — that’s true love right there! 💖

So sparkly, so shiny... ✨ And even on the back of each tiny tube, there’s a super clear guide on how to eat it. Talk about thoughtful design—so kind!!

You might see the little scissors icon on the package and think, “Oh, do I need scissors?” But nope, nope, nope — absolutely no scissors needed! These packs are insanely easy to tear open by hand. Seriously, so easy! (Cue the seal clap — well done, ORIHIRO! 👏👏)

Ta-da! The package tears open so easily by hand… and inside, you’ll find these beautifully shiny, sparkling little jelly friends.

You can’t really see them well just by looking from the top, so I pressed the tube a bit to let the jelly come out and show its shimmering goodness.

As you can see in the photo, the tip of the tube is perfectly cut to let the jelly come out easily. Honestly, little details like this deserve major appreciation!

Then, just put your mouth on the opening and suck the jelly out smoothly… and voilà! Our konjac jelly is ready to be deliciously enjoyed.

It’s so easy to eat… which means you end up finishing it way too fast—that’s the catch! 😂 But hey, since it’s zero calories, we can all enjoy it guilt-free! (Feeling proud and satisfied)

Also, the jelly inside looks a bit different depending on the flavor. The mango flavor has a slightly orange tint, while the green grape one is a very light, cute green color. Adorable, right?

And the size? It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand—such a cute little snack!

When your mouth’s feeling bored, this konjac jelly is the perfect light treat you can enjoy without worrying about calories. Plus, it’s super sweet and delicious! Honestly, it’s my all-time favorite snack.

And with that, I’ll wrap up this post about the konjac jelly—Chubby Mom’s and my all-time favorite Japanese snack… (so bittersweet to say goodbye!).

If you ever travel to Japan, definitely make sure to grab some! (And if you happen to bring me just one… I’d be forever grateful… 😉)

Until then, take care of yourselves in this heat and the humid, Southeast Asia-like weather we’re having!

See you in the next post! Thanks so much for reading today!

Sending 20,000 kisses and hugs your way… muah muah!! 💕😘
