Tada~! Today, once again, Chubby mom and her daughter are here to introduce one of their all-time favorite coffees…!! This time, it's all about decaf coffee…!!
You know those times when you’re craving coffee… but don’t want the caffeine… and still want to enjoy a clean, flavorful cup even in the evening without feeling weighed down…!!!
That’s when I highly recommend the illy decaf stick coffee — it's super convenient, dissolves perfectly even in cold water, and tastes amazing!!

Ta-da! Here’s the illy decaf stick coffee I’ll be introducing today.
Illy always marks its decaf products with blue! It’s easy to tell—“DECAFFEINATED” is written clearly right in the center of the box, making it super easy to distinguish.
The version Chubby mom's family bought contains 30 sticks per box, and each stick holds 1g of coffee, so that’s 30g of coffee in total per box!
The price varies online, generally ranging from 8,000 to 15,000 KRW (including shipping).
At the top of the box, as you can see in the photo below, there’s a clearly marked tear line that makes the box easy to open — really convenient!
On the side and back of the box, you’ll find all the important details clearly listed — ingredients, nutritional information, calories, expiration date, and how to prepare the coffee.
Each stick has only 3 kcal, so even if you use 2 to 3 sticks to make an iced decaf Americano, it’s just 6–9 kcal total. (Squeal squeal!!!! — cheers from all the dieters out there!)
One interesting discovery: just because it’s decaf doesn’t mean it’s 0% caffeine!
On the side of the box, it clearly states that the caffeine content is less than 0.3%.
That’s an extremely low amount, but still — good to know it’s not completely caffeine-free!
The coffee is made in Switzerland, it’s gluten-free, and it contains instant coffee blended with finely ground real coffee beans!
The shelf life is quite long — about 2 years, so it’s something you can keep around and enjoy over time.
When you open the box, you’ll find 30 cute coffee sticks in a silver and blue design, just like in the photo below.
I grabbed just four of them for a quick snapshot...
Each stick is small and compact, fitting perfectly in the palm of your hand. On the back, you’ll see the caffeine content (less than 0.3%) and clear instructions on how to prepare the coffee.
One small downside: the individual sticks don’t have an expiration date printed on them.
That’s the only thing I’d consider a minus — everything else is truly satisfying!
Each stick has an “easy-cut” mark, just like in the photo.
If you look closely, you’ll see the dotted line that makes it super easy to tear open.
Just grab the stick at the dotted line and tear — it opens smoothly and effortlessly!
Here’s what it looks like when you open a coffee stick and pour it into a cup.
Most of it is instant coffee, but the texture kind of reminds me of tiny wood chips… LOL.
It even looks a bit like cork pieces!
Among these, there are also tiny micro-ground particles of real coffee beans mixed in!
Now, pour in some hot water and give it a gentle stir with a spoon… and wow — it dissolves perfectly.
Not a single lump, nothing stuck together — it melts sooooo smoothly.
You don’t even need to stir hard — just a light swirl and it’s completely mixed.
And while it’s great as a hot coffee just like this…!!
Of course, we’ve got to try it iced too!!!
Ta-da! Just add one more stick and some ice…!!!
And voilà — a simple iced coffee is ready in no time.
Oh, and by the way, illy decaf coffee also dissolves well in cold water!
Of course, it takes a little longer than with hot water, but if you stir well with a spoon, it dissolves just as nicely.
I really have to give this a big thumbs up!
By the way, the cup holding the iced coffee is a copper cup that Chubby mom’s daughter absolutely loves!!
It looks super appetizing... When you serve coffee in a copper cup, the cup itself feels really cool, and the little droplets that form on the outside somehow make you want to drink even more.
The shiny, sparkling look of the cup just adds to the refreshing vibe, making it even more enjoyable.
If you don’t have one yet, I highly recommend getting a copper cup for your iced coffee — it’s amazing!
If you want to enjoy coffee without the caffeine worry even in the evening, I highly recommend the illy blue-pack decaf stick coffee that dissolves really well even in cold water and is super convenient.
