Today!!
It's been a while, but I'm finally back to introduce an olive oil that my whole family (a.k.a. Chubby mom's family 😄) has been absolutely loving—we’re already on our fifth bottle! These days, olive oil has become a staple in many kitchens, and it's easier than ever to get your hands on it.
But! If you're still unsure which one to choose—listen up!! (echoes dramatically)

Back when Chubby Mom’s daughter was little, olive oil wasn’t something people used a lot. It wasn’t easy to find at the supermarket, and it definitely wasn’t something every household had in their kitchen. 😢 (Ah... those good old days… sniff sniff)
But now? Olive oil has become a true national favorite! Everyone knows how good it is for your health, and these days, I think a lot of people even take a spoonful raw just for wellness.
Chubby Mom’s family also makes sure to never run out of olive oil—we always stock up in time! Up until recently, we’d been using De Cecco Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but one day, we decided to try Divella Olive Oil… and that was it.
Now, Chubby Mom’s family is fully committed to Divella!
Let me first introduce Divella Olive Oil 🫒

Doo-doo-doong!!
By now, I think most people know what extra virgin olive oil is, so I’ll keep the explanation above short and sweet. 😎
Now, what really sets Divella Olive Oil apart is… that spicy finish!!
When we first switched from De Cecco to Divella… we were honestly shocked by that kick of spice at the end.
I still remember tasting it for the first time and thinking, “Wait… what is this??”
It started out tasting like regular olive oil, but then—bam!—a surprising spiciness hit my throat as I swallowed.
It was a pleasant surprise, but I even wondered for a second, “Is this spoiled?” I ended up searching online to find out more…
Turns out, that spicy finish is actually a natural characteristic of high-quality extra virgin olive oil! (Wow, wow—so it’s a fancy feature??)
It’s due to a compound called oleocanthal, a type of natural polyphenol (antioxidant) found in olive oil.
This compound gives you that slight peppery, tingly sensation at the back of your throat—and in fact, the more premium the olive oil, the higher the oleocanthal content usually is!
Dudududuuuunnn!!!
So what does that mean?
It means Divella Olive Oil is packed with healthy antioxidants, and it's a fresh, premium-quality olive oil that’s also great for your health!
(We love it!! Let’s keep going~~ 😆)
Here’s a look at the sides of the Divella Olive Oil bottle!
The label includes all the important details like ingredients, calories, and expiration date—clearly marked and easy to read.
And just in case anyone might be curious... I even snapped a pic of the bottom of the bottle. 😂😂😂
(Though… maybe no one was wondering? Hmm… oh well… sigh 😅)
Both the side and top of the cap have adorable olive illustrations on them—so cute! 🫒💚
When you open the cap, the inside is lined with rubber to prevent any oil from leaking out.
Since I happened to open a new bottle of olive oil, Chubby Mom’s daughter got busy taking lots of photos! (So diligent, right?)
Here’s the photo of the very first opening!!
Just like the cap, the bottle’s neck is also carefully sealed with rubber to prevent any leaks—even if you turn the bottle upside down. (So thoughtful and meticulous!)
Since I was just about to make a salad, I poured some olive oil onto a spoon to show you before drizzling it on. The oil has a really fresh, vibrant greenish tint—so pretty!
While we sometimes drink it straight, Chubby Mom and I usually drizzle it over our salads. And here’s a little secret: after finishing the salad, we always scrape the leftover olive oil from the bowl and eat it—that spicy kick never fails to surprise us! (Still shocking every time…)
Boldly pouring olive oil on the salad… (Hehe, I said bold, but honestly, it feels a little shy 😂)
At Chubby Mom’s house, we eat salad like this every single day with our meals, always drizzling about one or two spoonfuls of olive oil each time.
And the 1L bottle of Divella Olive Oil is filled right up to the neck of the bottle, just like in the photo below (in case anyone’s curious…).
I took a photo of the empty bottle and the newly opened one side by side... Farewell, empty bottle... (So sentimental 😢)
At Chubby Mom’s house, we drizzle olive oil on our salads every day, and we also often steam salmon with olive oil, so we go through the bottles pretty quickly!
And… Chubby Mom’s family enjoyed their salad drizzled with olive oil along with a delicious mixed rice bowl with avocado, eggplant, and asparagus.
(Not that you might be curious, but here’s a little extra detail anyway… Also, I really want to eat bibimbap again… at this hour… ugh…)
Ta-da! And that wraps up today’s olive oil recommendation post.
If you try that genuinely spicy, tingling flavor, you’ll be amazed! That kick comes from the good stuff inside, so if you’re looking for a healthy, high-quality olive oil, I highly recommend this one. Seriously, Chubby Mom’s family is already on our fifth bottle! This is a 100% honest review—no ads, no sponsorships. (Totally sincere.)
Stay cool out there, everyone, and with that, I’m signing off… Cheers!
