Back again with another lunchtime review from your favorite field reporter at Chubby Mom's Blog!
Today, I'm reviewing Hangang Burger, located in Sanggakji, Yongsan, Seoul!!
Don’t be fooled by the name—it’s not by the Han River!!! 😂😂😂
Despite being called Hangang Burger, it’s actually in Samgakji, Yongsan, and no, you absolutely can’t see the river from there!
So watch out for the location!

First off, here’s the location of Hangang Burger...
I wasn’t sure which map app you prefer, so I just brought them all! (Hehe 😜)

Hangang Burger is just a short walk from Exit 13 of Sanggakji Station, and it’s right along the main road, so it's super easy to find.
The entrance has a bright and energetic vibe, haha. 😄
That guy in the middle of the sign really stands out—maybe it's a cartoon version of the owner...? Just guessing here!
The whole place gives off a bit of a cowboy feel... even the little cactus on the left is adorable!

There are also two tables outside, but with the heat these days, it’s probably too hot to sit out there… 🥵
As you can see on the sign next to the door, they also sell beer!
(Burgers and beer… now that’s a combo. Chef’s kiss 🍔🍺)

The interior also gives off strong cowboy vibes, with decorations like guns, cowboy hats, framed pictures, and rustic wooden tables and chairs.
(...I really liked it 🥰)

And if you walk straight in through the door, you’ll see the kiosk right in front of you!
That’s where you place your order.
If you want to use Seoul Pay, just let a staff member know and pay directly with them instead.
(One of Chubby Mom’s daughter’s friends uses Seoul Pay often and always pays directly with the staff too!)

The menu includes both à la carte burgers and set menus, with the sets coming with fries and a Coke.
As for the price... 😢 it’s not exactly cheap, I’ll be honest!
Chubby Mom’s daughter used to always go for the Onion Cheese Burger Set, but sometimes ended up leaving leftovers because it felt like too much food (just a personal opinion—others might not feel that way at all!).
So this time, I went with the regular Cheeseburger Set!
Chubby mom's daughter's friend ordered the Crispy Chicken Burger Set!
There are also side menu items, and they offer a variety of drinks—Coke, Sprite, Fanta, zero-calorie options, plus beer and even coffee.
But for lunch, Chubby Mom’s daughter sticks to just the good ol' burger set!
That said, since it is a burger place that also serves alcohol, they even sell dried fish snacks like nogari as bar food!
So fun and unexpected! 🤭

After ordering, if you look to the left of the counter, you’ll see a self-serve station with napkins, wet wipes, ketchup, forks, knives, straws, and even a beer tap!
Chubby Mom’s daughter always grabs a knife and fork and cuts her burger before eating.
I prefer it that way—it’s tidier and makes it easier to eat all the way through without a mess. (Shy but true 😅)
There used to be hot sauce here too…
Something Chubby Mom’s daughter absolutely LOVED…
But sadly, they stopped offering it recently 😭😭
(Why... just why...? 😢)
So disappointing... Hot sauce on a burger is seriously next-level delicious.
(Highly recommended if you're a spicy food lover!)

After grabbing some napkins and condiments at the self-serve bar, I sat down and waited a bit. Then, someone at the counter called out that the burgers were ready.
The woman who used to work the counter used to call out numbers, but the new lady only calls out the burger names, which confused some customers (including me). Everyone was like, “Is that mine??” scratching their heads and going up one by one, haha. 😂😂😂 On this day, since I ordered a set, they forgot to include the fries… Looks like the new lady is still getting used to things! Hope she settles in quickly—fighting! 💪
The burgers don’t take long to come out—ta-da!
I ordered the Cheeseburger Set, but as soon as it arrived, I totally forgot to take a photo before cutting it up (silly me!).
So I ended up taking a picture of my friend’s Crispy Chicken Burger Set instead (sorry, sorry!).
Wish I had taken a photo of my own cheeseburger too… sniff sniff.

Close-up shot!
The burgers are a bit smaller than Burger King’s, but still a pretty standard size—not too small.
As for the cheeseburger, the patty is juicy and packed with great smoky, grilled flavor (lots of mouthwatering grease dripping!).
The amount of fries seems to vary a bit from visit to visit, but they’re always freshly fried, thick-cut, and nice and hot—definitely tasty.

Today, as always, I finished everything completely!!!
See those knife marks? Haha, I really went to town cutting it up (kind of a unique style...).
Even if you go for the cheapest Cheeseburger Set, you’ll definitely leave feeling full!
Chubby Mom’s daughter thinks the portions are pretty generous.
If you want a hearty, juicy lunch that really fills you up, give Hangang Burger a try!

And that wraps up today’s review!
Wishing everyone a delicious lunch and dinner!!!
Alright, that’s all for now… peace out!!!
